Jakarta (ANTARA) – Bologna failed to continue the trend of two consecutive wins when they were held to a 0-0 draw by Frosinone in the Italian League match at the Benite Stirpe Stadium, Frosinone, Sunday.

One additional point makes Red Blue failed to overtake Juventus and was stuck in fourth place in the Italian League standings with 58 points. Meanwhile, Frosinone, which received another draw for the second week in a row, is still slumped in 18th position with 26 points, according to the official Italian League page.

Host Frosinone, who is in the relegation zone, started the match aggressively. Walid Cheddira was in a one-on-one situation against Lukasz Skorupski, before his chance was thwarted by the goalkeeper. The hosts’ next chance came from Emanuele Valeri’s pass at Cheddira which Jhon Lucumi was able to cut.

Skorupski then had to make an important save to block Caleb Okoli’s header from a corner kick, while Riccardo Calafiori’s back pass made it difficult for his own goalkeeper, Skorupski.

In the 66th minute, Michel Aebischer received Riccardo Orsolini’s pass, and the next opportunity was thwarted by the tip of Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati’s shoe.

Turati was again forced to work hard when he had to stretch his body to deny substitute Santiago Castro’s chance. Bologna then had a great opportunity to score the winning goal in the final phase of the match from Stefan Posch’s cross which was met by Ndoye’s volley, but again goalkeeper Turati was able to ward it off so that it only hit the crossbar before being caught perfectly.
