Brentford and Chelsea facing each other in the continuation of the Premier League. This duel finished with a score of 2-2.

Brentford vs Chelsea took place at the Gtech Community Stadium, Saturday (2/3/2024) evening WIB. The visitors led 1-0 in the first half through Nicolas Jackson’s goal.

Brentford then took a 2-1 lead after the break. two goals came from MAds Roerslev and Yoane Wissa.



Chelsea was then able to force the final score to a 2-2 draw. Alex Disasi scored a goal with a header.

Chelsea is still in 11th position with currently having 36 points. Brentford is in 16th place with 26 points.

The Course of the Match

Even though Chelsea was dominant in possession of the ball, the match actually went on very tough for 20 minutes. The Blue often just spins around in the middle of the field due to Brentford’s tight defense.

Brentford got a golden opportunity in the 24th minute through a dead ball scheme. Yoane Wissa fired a shot in the penalty box, but Djordje Petrovic was able to secure the ball.

It was Chelsea’s turn to get a golden opportunity in the 29th minute. Nicolas Jackson was able to get past goalkeeper Mark Flekken, but failed to score after the ball was blocked by an opposing defender right at the goal mouth.

Chelsea finally took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. Jackson scored with a header after welcoming Malo Gusto’s cross.

There were no additional goals in the first half. Chelsea led 1-0 until halftime.

Brentford immediately stepped on the gas at the start of the second half. The goal to equalize the 1-1 score was obtained in the 50th minute after Mads Roerslev was able to take advantage of the chaos in the Chelsea penalty box.

The intensity of Brentford’s attacks continues to increase. Chelsea seemed to be struggling to reduce the opponent’s pressure.
