US basketball star Brittney Griner pleaded guilty to bringing cannabis to Russia but said he did not intend to break the law.
The young woman was arrested in February for possessing a cannabis-based liquid at a Moscow airport. She has been accused of drug possession and smuggling for which she faces up to 10 years in prison. “I would like to plead guilty to all charges,” she told the court, adding, however, that she “did not intend to violate Russian law.”
The next appointment in the trial is July 14th.
