California requires students at school to be vaccinated or they will not be allowed to attend school

by admin

[Epoch Times October 02, 2021]On Friday (October 1), California Governor Gavin Newsom announced at a press conference held at Denman Middle School in San Francisco that California requires all K-12 students in public and private schools must be vaccinated against the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia, COVID-19). This became the first state in the United States to require students to be vaccinated.

Once the vaccine has been approved by the US government for different age groups, all students from elementary to high school in California must be vaccinated.

Currently, the vaccine has been approved for people 16 years and older. For people between 12 and 15 years old, only emergency authorization was given. Newsom’s office said that once the vaccines applicable to people aged 12 to 15 are approved by federal regulatory agencies, California will require students in grades 7 to 12 to be vaccinated, including public and private schools.

Once the vaccine is applicable to people aged 5 to 11 years old, and the final approval of the federal government is obtained, California will require all students from kindergarten to sixth grade to be vaccinated.

Except for the exemption of students for religious or special health reasons, the school will prohibit students who have not been vaccinated from attending school, and they can only be forced to complete independent learning courses at home.

So far, Newsom has given the local school district the right to decide on vaccinations for students, and different school districts can have their own regulations.

The Los Angeles and Oakland Unified School District requires all students over the age of 12 to be vaccinated. Los Angeles has set the deadline for January 20 next year. Oakland has not yet made a clear deadline.

San Diego (San Diego) United School requires students and staff of 16 years and older to be vaccinated before December 20.

Newsom said that California’s incidence rate is the lowest in the United States, which is mainly due to the effect of the large-scale implementation of vaccination. According to Newsom, California has received more than 50 million doses of the vaccine, and 84% of eligible people have received at least one dose. ◇

Note: The new coronavirus is also called the Wuhan pneumonia virus. The Epoch Times believes that it is more accurate to call it the “CCP virus”. Because the virus came from China under the rule of the CCP, and because the CCP covered up the epidemic, the virus spread to the world and caused a global pandemic.
