About TEA

ASD is a disorder characterized by changes in the individual’s neurodevelopmental functions, interfering with the ability to communicate, language, social interaction and behavior. Even so, early diagnosis allows the development of stimuli for children’s independence and quality of life.

Warning signs in the child’s neurodevelopment can be noticed in the first months of life, with the diagnosis being established around two to three years of age. The prevalence is higher in males.

Identifying developmental delays, timely diagnosis of ASD, and referral for behavioral interventions and educational support at the earliest possible age can lead to better long-term outcomes, considering brain neuroplasticity.

It is noteworthy that timely treatment with early stimulation should be recommended in any case of suspected ASD or atypical development of the child, regardless of diagnostic confirmation.
