Thunderstorms in Guangdong to Increase Tomorrow, Heavy Rains Expected During Qingming Holiday

China Weather Network reported today that thunderstorms will increase in Guangdong tomorrow, with heavy rains expected during the upcoming Qingming holiday. The province will experience mostly cloudy weather today, with temperatures reaching around 30°C.

According to the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Observatory, tomorrow’s forecast includes moderate to severe thunderstorms in cities like Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Yunfu, with local heavy rains expected in the afternoon. Other cities and counties across the province can expect scattered thundershowers as well.

As the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday approaches from April 4 to 6, northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta are predicted to experience continuous heavy rains. Some areas may even see extremely heavy rains, which could lead to potentially catastrophic effects in mountainous regions. Residents are advised to prepare for secondary disasters such as flash floods, mudslides, and landslides.

The public is urged to stay informed by checking the nowcast warning information and to arrange travel plans carefully during the holiday period. Stay updated on the weather by following the “China Weather Network” official WeChat account, “China Weather” Weibo, and “China Weather” Douyin for the latest updates.
