It couldn’t be any other way… In addition to the lack of collective inspiration from both sides, there was a lack, in the few dangerous situations, of art and ingenuity to aim at the opposite goals. Boavista had more possession, but the dominance was almost always innocuous. The exception was Bruno Lourenço’s cross shot (84′), with the ball passing close to the bar. Casa Pia was more objective and, even so, managed to arrive more times (although not as many as that…) to the greater Boavista area. Only Casa Pia managed two approaches to Boavista’s goal, the first of which was a very clear finishing situation: Felippe Cardoso, in the 18th minute, was served on a golden platter by Yuki Soma, but the Brazilian missed the deflection that seemed… . right. After that, in the 29th minute, it was Clayton’s turn, also served by Yuki Soma, to try his luck with his left foot, but the shot went over the bar of João Gonçalves’ goal. Boavista has had some dominance, it’s true, they’ve favored possession of the ball, that’s also a fact, but they’ve been totally inconsequential in the final third.
