According to the Metropolitan Bank of Havana, with over one million clients in the Cuban capital, the Central Bank of Cuba has shared contact information for clients to make complaints.

Clients are encouraged to contact the Central Bank of Cuba through the Bienestar platform to report establishments refusing to use electronic payment channels. They can also raise concerns, disagreements, and suggestions related to the National Banking and Financial System. Additionally, clients can call the telephone number 8002 2622 to convey complaints about establishments that do not accept payments by QR codes. The phone line is operational from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, emphasizing that they are there to serve the clients.

The Central Bank of Cuba recently marked the sixth month since the implementation of the banking process on the island and shared information on its outcomes. This transformation involves conducting the majority of transactions digitally, replacing cash with electronic payment instruments and channels to simplify money management. The global trend favors electronic payment instruments for large transactions, making Cuba’s adoption of this process a move towards aligning with international standards and practices.
