– I can confirm that the letter that Se og Hør quotes from was written by Lotte and me jointly, and that the content quoted is correct, writes Christian Ringnes in a message to Nettavisen on Wednesday evening.

Ringnes and Lotte Birgitta Inger have been together for 14 years, and engaged since 2019, but are now separating.

“We cheer each other on”

The letter Ringnes refers to was first discussed by See and listen – who learned that the couple go their separate ways. The letter was sent out by e-mail to their mutual friends.

In the letter they write:

“Life is wonderful, with all its chapters. We are now looking forward to a new and exciting chapter in life. We have decided to end our love affair and preserve our good friendship. We cheer for each other and all the good memories!”

– King by day and night

It has been less than a month since Ringnes and Inger joined the multi-billionaire’s 70th birthday celebration together. The birthday party was held at the Ekeberg restaurant, which Ringnes owns, close to the billionaire’s now well-known sculpture park.

Ringnes told Nettavisen that he thought it was going to be a fun evening. When asked how he is at a party, he turned to Inger and replied:

– What do you usually say? I am king during the day and king at night, said Ringnes and laughed.

On entering the party, the billionaire revealed that he wanted a contribution to the organization “Free Ukraine” as a birthday present. The celebrant and the birthday guests collected between NOK 15 and 20 million, according to what Nettavisen found out.

Controversial fireworks

Eventually, however, Ringnes’ 70th anniversary celebration was more remembered for a giant firework display. Late in the evening, six minutes of fireworks were set off, which caused strong reactions.

After a week of criticism, both Christian and his daughter Isabelle Ringnes (35) responded.

– I got the controversial fireworks, yes. There will be a bit of a ruckus, said the daughter, who understood that people reacted a bit.

The father was rather tight-lipped when asked about the criticism:

– I don’t think I should comment on that.
