– Well, you’re peeing… in your pants. Because you usually don’t make it to the toilet in time. So yes, I use nappies, she says, before pulling down the hem of her trousers and showing them off.

Furthermore, Applegate says that she has been admitted to hospital on several occasions due to pain, and what comes with her illness.
– They don’t quite know what’s wrong with me, but we’re pretty sure that my stomach and my intestines are not very good friends. It gives me immense pain and makes me throw up.

Applegate then says that she gained 20 kilos after being diagnosed with MS, due to steroids and the lack of mobility.
– My symptoms are worse in the morning, really bad. So of course I’m sad and tired then, but then I don’t want to be like that either. I just have a body that doesn’t feel good.
