“Cicpc confirms the death of two dangerous criminals in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state”
The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigations Corps (Cicpc), Douglas Rico, took to social media to announce the death of two dangerous criminals in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state. The criminals, identified as Luis Alejandro Peraza Moreno, also known as “El Gordo”, and Ricardo Ismael González Velásquez, also known as “El Ricky”, died after resisting capture during a field investigation on La Isla street.
The scientific police revealed that these individuals were responsible for a heinous crime that took place on August 4, 2023, where they sexually abused and shot a victim in the face before throwing her into a river. The victim, however, was rescued by local residents and received medical attention. The criminals, who were being pursued by the Cicpc, engaged in a gun battle with the authorities in the town of Bergantín and were fatally wounded.
It was further disclosed that “El Gordo” was under investigation for personal injuries, while “El Ricky” was being investigated in nine criminal cases, including robbery, intentional homicide, and theft of motorcycles and trucks. During the police operation, two 9mm caliber pistols and a Tecno BE7 mobile phone were recovered, providing evidence of their involvement in the atrocious act.
