End of the soap opera! Away from the team since last week, when he failed against Alianza, in the Copa Sudamericana, goalkeeper Rafael Cabral will no longer play with the Cruzeiro shirt. He was involved in an exchange with Grêmio and is going to the south of the country.

In negotiations between the clubs, goalkeeper Gabriel Grando will also be released to Raposa. Both on loan until the end of the season, with an option to purchase at the end of the contract, with the same conditions for both sides.

Negotiations progressed this Thursday (18) and the agreement will be announced by the associations in the next few hours.

The exchange, after all, will be good for both sides. Because Rafael Cabral is going through a moment of great pressure and criticism from fans. The failures in the classic and the Copa Sudamericana amplified the situation. In fact, after the game against Alianza, the goalkeeper recognized the mistake and apologized.

On the Grêmio side, however, Grando is a creation of the base. He initially gained space in 2021, when he made 31 appearances. However, he lost space in 2022. In 2023, he returned to being a starter and defended Tricolor in 39 games, with 58 goals conceded, an average of 1.49 per game. However, he lost space with the arrival of Marchesín.
