Chelsea immediately kicked off at the start of the second half to score a goal back. In the 47th minute, Gusto outwits an opposing player and sends a cross to the near post. Jackson then let the ball loose for Gallagher to finish. Gol! Palace 1-1 Chelsea.
The reply goal made Chelsea even more confident to continue to pressure the hosts. After the 60th minute, Chelsea had several opportunities, including Chilwell’s shot which went wide. Palace also responded.
In the 76th minute, Chelsea goalkeeper Petrovic made a crucial save. Franca stabbed in the middle of the field and sent a horizontal rocket shot, fortunately Petrovic was still able to stop the ball for Chelsea.
In the 90+1 minute, Chelsea realized their comeback. Palmer received Sterling’s pass and followed it up with a pull pass to the edge of the penalty box. Gallagher came from the second line and met the ball with a first-time shot. Gol! Palace 1-2 Chelsea.
90+4 minutes, Chelsea delivered the final blow. Palace’s defense was open, Palmer moved freely to deliver a through ball to Enzo. This Argentinian midfielder managed to outwit his opponent and sent the ball into the top left corner. Gol! Palace 1-3 Chelsea.
