Worse was to come for Ange Postecoglou’s men. Five minutes into the second half, Harvey Elliot found Dutchman Cody Gakpo with a cross in the box.
The striker poked the ball beautifully into the corner behind Vicario.
With half an hour to go, Elliot scored his dream goal when he tapped the ball into the corner from 20 metres.
