Diesel Technic, leader in the marketing of parts and accessories for industrial and commercial vehicles, expands its range of DT Spare Parts brand water pumps with a new code (3.16012) intended for a vast number of MAN applications, now offering more than 210 different codes of these essential components to prevent overheating of the engine.
The 3.16012 water pump code proposed today by Diesel Technic under the DT Spare Parts brand is intended for some MAN applications where there is a particular type of water pump, mounted outside the engine and therefore subject to greater vibrations. Mechanical seals form the heart of any water pump and must be of the highest quality to prevent leakage.
The mechanical seal used by Diesel Technic for the new water pump, as well as in all its offer of this type of component, is pressed into the pump housing and, thanks also to a layer of special sealant, prevents the twisting and loosening.
The perfectly matched springs ensure the correct contact pressure of the silicon carbide washers.
Diesel Technic has also optimized the assembly accessories and supplies the spare part with the necessary screws, speeding up the installation of the water pump, and ensuring its correctness, a fundamental aspect to avoid vibrations caused by imbalances, which can wear out the pump more quickly.
Finally, the impellers of DT Spare Parts water pumps are optimally constructed to allow for high coolant flow and efficiency. The normally used metal impellers have been replaced by impellers made of plastic (PPS, X-TEL), the low weight of which prevents the formation of air pockets in liquids (so-called cavitation) and minimizes the load on the bearings.
To ensure maximum quality and safety, the water pumps proposed by Diesel Technic are tested on an internal test bench, specifically developed for this type of product, where the tests are conducted under the same conditions as the Original Equipment. The tests concern tightness and performance tests, as well as flow (l/min.), speed (r/min.) and pressure (bar).
