Erdogan hunts 10 Western ambassadors, including the US, France and Germany

The 10 Western ambassadors in Turkey who had signed an appeal for the release of the anti-Erdogan philanthropist Osman Kavala, who has been detained for over 4 years, will be declared “persona non grata”. This was announced by the Turkish president himself. Among the diplomats involved are representatives of the United States, France and Germany.

“I told our foreign minister that we cannot allow ourselves the luxury of hosting them in our country,” Erdogan announced on October 21, referring to the heads of mission of Canada, France, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, New Zeland, Norway, Sweden e Usa who in a statement, on the fourth anniversary of his arrest on October 18, had invited Ankara to release Kavala in line with a 2019 European Court of Human Rights ruling.
