Emil, who plays as a goalkeeper, is now just one step away from securing his fourth Scudetto title in his career after winning three titles with Juventus.
The 27 year old player, who is now an Italian citizen, has been widely rumored to be interested in defending the Garuda team after uploading the Red and White flag on his social media page.
Emil, who has recorded 10 matches with the Italian U-21 national team, has yet to make his debut with Gli Azzurri.
With Emil not yet making his debut, there is a big opportunity for the former Sampdoria player to naturalize and fill the goalkeeper post for coach Shin Tae-yong’s squad.
