Europa League draw: Tough test for Freiburg

Bayer Leverkusen has a lot of luck in the Europa League. The Bundesliga club will face Qarabag Agdam from Azerbaijan in the round of 16, who have made it to the knockout rounds of the Europa League for the first time.

Meanwhile, a much trickier task awaits SC Freiburg. The Breisgauers meet West Ham United, who won the Conference League last year.

What is curious is the fact that the two German teams meet their group opponents. Leverkusen defeated Qarabag in both games, while SC Freiburg lost both duels with the London club.

With Atlanta Bergamo and Sporting Lisbon, two other teams that played in the same group will also meet. Bergamo won the first leg in Lisbon 2-1, while the second leg in Italy ended 1-1 – so excitement is inevitable here.
