FC Sion took another step towards the Super League by crushing Wil 4-0 at Tourbillon, 3 days before the end of the Challenge League championship. The Valaisans are still 3 points ahead of their runner-up Thun who also won in Baden with a score of 5-1.
At Tourbillon, the Sédunois did not doubt for long. After only 7 minutes of play, Sorgic opened the scoring for his colors. The Serb even went for his double by scoring 2-0 in the 34th minute.
Dominant, Didier Tholot’s players then managed their advantage and even increased the score twice thanks to a penalty converted by Ziegler in the 60th and a goal from Souza in the 71st.
Baden relegated to Promotion League
Baden, just promoted, is already condemned to go down to the Promotion League. After its defeat against Thun, the red lantern is in fact 13 points behind Schaffhausen with only 9 points remaining at stake.
