Fauske and Sørfold municipality invite, in collaboration with Forest course instructor Ole Bendik Bendigtsen, to a course in the Norwegian PEFC forest standard. The purpose of the course is to give you as a forest owner knowledge about the Norwegian PEFC Forest Standard with requirements, and the practical significance of the requirements for the management and operation of a forest property.
It is now a requirement that self-employed forest owners must have this course in order to deliver timber through timber buyers who have certification requirements.
The course will be held over two afternoons at Sørfold town hall adr. Strandveien 2, 8226 Straumen, den 13 and 14 March between 18:00 and 22:00.
There will be simple catering and the municipalities want to sponsor each forest owner who participates with NOK 1,000 for the course fee. Own forest fund funds can also be used to cover the course fee.
