[China News Agency, Seoul]On the 24th local time, former South Korean President Park Geun-hye was officially discharged from Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam District, Seoul.
The weather in Seoul was cloudy that morning with a temperature of about 6 degrees Celsius. A reporter from China News Agency came to Samsung Seoul Hospital in Gangnam District, Seoul, and saw that within a distance of about 200 meters outside the hospital, both sides of the road were continuously and neatly filled with garlands sent by supporters. On both sides of the road outside the hospital, there were several banners and pictures of Park Geun-hye. The banners and photos read “May President Park Geun-hye get well soon, come on!” “Happy 71st birthday!” “Park Geun-hye I love you” and other congratulatory messages and words of support.
At about 8 o’clock, more than 100 reporters and the public had gathered outside the main building of the hospital. Some people held up pictures of Park Geun-hye.
At about 8:32 local time (7:32 Beijing time), Park Geun-hye came to the gate of No. 3 of the main building of Samsung Seoul Hospital. She was wearing a navy blue coat and a beige mask, and greeted the people with a smile. The scene shouted: “President Park Geun-hye, I love you!” “You have worked hard!”
Park Geun-hye gave a brief interview to media reporters at the scene. She said that her physical condition has recovered a lot, and she was finally able to greet the people after five years. She received treatment at Samsung Seoul Hospital in the past four months and thanked the medical staff of the hospital for their care.
After the interview, Park Geun-hye left by car, and the whole process lasted about two minutes.
It is reported that after being discharged from the hospital, Park Geun-hye went to the National Cemetery of South Korea to pay tribute to her father, former President Park Chung-hee. After arriving at her private house in Daegu, her hometown, Park Geun-hye will once again release news to the people.
