“Freedom is in the hijab”, storm in France over a Council of Europe advertisement against discrimination

PARIS – “Beauty is in diversity as freedom is in hijab“. The photo of a woman with an Islamic headdress accompanied by this phrase (” Beauty is in diversity as freedom is inhijab“) unleashed yet another battle of the veil in France. The image was part of a campaign launched on social media within the inclusion and anti-discrimination program of the European Council.
