A 41-year-old man was arrested by the Civil Police (PC) this Wednesday (14). The suspect lived on the streets and was on the run from justice. He had some outstanding arrest warrants for several crimes that occurred in the city of Pão de Açúcar.
According to information from the PC, the garrison was carrying out patrols in the Port of Maceió region and observed the suspect making obscene gestures towards a truck driver. The man was approached and the existence of outstanding arrest warrants against him was discovered.
In 2002, he was accused of indecent assault, after entering through the back door and going to the room of the victim, who was just 1 year and 10 months old, where he carried out lewd acts. However, the child’s mother, who was sleeping next door, intervened before the attacker could cause any more damage.
In 2007, he committed qualified theft by breaking into the city’s public market, where he took around 100 watches, totaling a loss of approximately R$3,000.
In 2012, after consuming alcohol and crack, the suspect committed feminicide against his partner, striking her with a hammer and throwing a stone at her head, resulting in her death.
The man was arrested and taken to the Flagrantes Center for due legal proceedings.
