Accordingly, Galatasaray is demanding around twice the fee that the Turkish record champions paid to AS Roma for the transfer of Zaniolo. This sum was 15 million euros. Zaniolo, whom Galatasaray loaned to Aston Villa at the beginning of the season with an option to buy in England, is repeatedly the subject of various transfer rumors. The 24-year-old, who has previously expressed his desire to return to Italy, is being courted by Fiorentina and SSC Napoli.
It is almost certain that Zaniolo will return to Galatasaray at the start of the season and Aston Villa will therefore not exercise the purchase option for the Italian. In this context, “Gala” would have set the transfer fee now required for Zaniolo. According to Calciomercato, Galatasaray is not prepared to lower the fee for the Italian attacker and is demanding 25-30 million euros. Zaniolo was loaned to Aston Villa for five million euros ahead of the 2023/24 season. Zaniolo played 1,241 minutes in 36 appearances for the Premier League club and contributed three goals. Zaniolo still has a contract in Istanbul until 2027.
