Man arrested for femicide of ex-partner in Carabobo state
Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc, announced on Thursday the arrest of Jeferson Blanco (24) for the femicide of his ex-partner Juliana Concepción Loaiza Arroyo (29) in the Pared de Piedra sector, Güigüe parish, Carlos Arvelo municipality, Carabobo state.
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of May 6, when Blanco reportedly broke into Loaiza’s room and violently attacked her with a metal tool, causing immediate death. The motive behind the crime was determined to be passionate, as Blanco could not accept the end of the relationship with Loaiza.
Cicpc officials collected evidence including a cell phone, the metal tool used in the attack, a keychain, and a purse containing the victim’s personal documents during the arrest of Blanco. The case has been forwarded to the 30th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Judicial District of Carabobo state for further investigation.
The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the urgency to address domestic violence and femicide cases in the region, as families and communities continue to mourn the loss of loved ones.
