“He pees in the mosque”. Revolt in Pakistan for the “blasphemous” child

BANGKOK – It is not the first time in Islamic Pakistan that a minor has been accused of blasphemy, but no 8-year-old child has ever been detained for this crime which also includes the death penalty. It happened a few days ago, and the case is sparking violence and mass exodus from the small Hindu enclave surrounded by fundamentalists where the events took place, in the heart of a Punjab town called Bhong Sharif, in the district of Rahim Yar Khan.
