The song “A sad adio” is still in many repertoires today, and now its secrets have been revealed.
A cult track “A sad adio” composed by Vojkan Borisavljević, and Ljljana Pavić wrote the text for the series “Hot Wind” performed by Dragan Stojnić and Oliver Dragojević.
There is almost no person who does not know the words of this song, and now its secrets have been revealed. It was created in just 30 seconds in a taxi, and it was Borisavljević who once told everything about it:
“I remember it like it was yesterday. I went to Dubrovnik. The director Aca Đorđević and Siniša Pavić told me roughly what the song should be, that it must feel like a hot wind. Before that, I was on vacation in Crete and already I felt it myself. I quickly understood what they wanted, it was a moment of inspiration that I very simply translated into a song,” Vojkan said on one occasion.
“I composed it in a taxi to the airport, and Oliver recorded it one evening in 10 minutes in the Radio Belgrade studio. His voice marked the song, and many people recorded it afterwards. I had a good collaboration with Oliver and I’m sorry that Yugoslavia fell apart . That time, that country, culture, music and cooperation between us gave rise to many good things. In that diversity of peoples, we tried to compete and be better than others in a positive way, which brought immeasurable results,” said Borisavljević , then added:
“I wrote that song in 30 seconds in a taxi. In the television series “Hot Wind” it became very popular and to this day it is indispensable at various farewells and celebrations. It can even be heard in stadiums when fans sing it in chorus,” he said. at one time Borisavljević.
