Huawei helps Bangladesh launch 5G services

Caijing Technology News on December 14th, according to Xinhua News Agency, Bangladesh’s telecom operator Teletalk and China’s Huawei have officially launched 5G services in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

At the “5G New Era” event held on the 12th, Prime Minister Bangladesh’s Information and Communication Technology Advisor Wajid announced the official launch of 5G services via video. Prime Minister Meng Hasina sent a congratulatory video for the event.

In his speech, Wajid emphasized the importance of interconnection in the digital age, and pointed out that a good network helps the country seize development opportunities. He thanked the relevant departments of the Bangladeshi government and Huawei for their contributions in 5G construction.

Lin Baifeng, President of Huawei’s Asia Pacific Region, said in a video speech that Huawei has been providing infrastructure support and promoting 5G technology in many countries around the world. Huawei will use advanced technology to support Bangladesh in accelerating the development of the communications industry.

It is reported that in the initial stage, the 5G network will be deployed in the Bangladesh Parliament Building, Prime Minister’s Office, National Monument and other places, and the coverage will be gradually expanded in the future.
