Hungary, the slap of the Constitutional Court in Orban: “No national primacy over European law”

BERLIN – Serious defeat of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán before the national justice and the justice bodies of the European Union, of which Hungary is a part. The Hungarian Constitutional Court this morning rejected the motion-appeal against the European Court of Justice which on behalf of Orbán had been presented by the powerful Minister of Justice, Judit Varga. The Supreme Court, unexpectedly for not a few, issued a sentence according to which the Magyar justice cannot give itself a primacy or a superiority over European law.
