The pop star’s third album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft”, will be released on 17 May.
– It is so wild to write this now. I’m nervous and excited, said 22-year-old Eilish on Instagram – with a host of capital letters and emojis.
Thought everyone knew
Billie Eilish thought “everyone” knew she was also attracted to women.
Billie Eilish also shared the album cover and confirmed that she will not be releasing any singles ahead of the album release.
– I want to give you everything at once, says Billie Eilish, who adds that she and her brother and collaborator Finneas, who produced the third disc, “couldn’t be more proud of this record”.
Billie Eilish boasts a total of nine Grammy Awards, and she released her debut “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” in 2019 and the sequel “Happier Than Ever” in 2021.
Ahead of the album news, Eilish and her team have been running a series of mystery poster ads in Los Angeles and New York City, reports Billboard. They have contained what appear to be new lyrics, with lines such as “She’s the headlights I’m the deer”, “I try to live in black and white” and “Did I cross the line?”.
