A man in his late teens was seriously injured in the shooting, but his life is not in danger. He himself reported to the police that he had been shot inside a building in Tvetenveien in Bryn.

The four arrested have been appointed defenders after the arrest, the Oslo Police District said on Tuesday. The four teenagers deny criminal guilt or disagree with the charge, the four’s respective defenders tell NTB.

One teenager’s defender, lawyer Jens Halvard Bratz, says that his client knows the other three from the youth environment, but that he has nothing to do with the case.

– He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and only became aware of the case in connection with the arrest. It is a very serious matter, and he is of course affected by it, he tells NTB.

Targeted

– Based on the information we now have, the action looks targeted. It looks like the shooting took place indoors, and several shots were fired, says section leader at the homicide section in the Oslo police district, Anne Alræk Solem, to NTB.

She says it is too early to say whether this is gang-related crime.

– We are in the initial phase, there is much that remains to be worked on. We will review some video footage and technical material, continues Alræk Solem.

In a press release, the Oslo police write that the accused will probably be produced for remand on Wednesday.

Settlement

– We think this is a settlement between someone who knows each other, task leader Erik Hestvik told the press at the scene in Tvetenveien on Monday evening.

The police were notified of the violent incident at 7.53pm on Monday.

– We received a report that a person had been shot. When we arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, we found the victim outside with what we assume are gunshot wounds, says task leader Gabriel Langfeldt in the Oslo police district to NTB.
