Inès Reg, in tears, reveals what really happened with Natasha St-Pier

This is unprecedented in the history of Dance with the stars. Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier, two candidates for this thirteenth season, are at the heart of a big controversy. It all started with a clash before the first prime time, last January. According to information initially communicated by The Parisian, Inès Reg would have asked Natasha St-Pier to turn down the music in her rehearsal room, right next to hers. The tone would then be raised between the two artists.

“I tremble to tell you, I will never forget”

Contrary to what was said The Parisian last week, Inès Reg was not at the origin of this altercation and did not utter any insults or death threats.

In a video shared in an Instagram story on Sunday March 24, the comedian gives his version of the facts. “On January 31, Natasha St-Pier comes two or three times to ask us to turn down the music. So we turn it down (…) Except that the last time she comes to knock, she turns her music even louder. And It’s my journalist and my camera operator who are complaining about it because we don’t get along,” she begins to say. Inès Reg, who wants to “respect the rules”, then goes into the room of Natasha St-Pier and her dancer Anthony Colette to ask them to turn down the music.

The latter makes a small remark to Inès Reg. Taken off guard and embarrassed, the comedian laughs. “Does that make you laugh? You can put it in your next show,” replies Anthony Colette. Inès Reg, on the verge of bursting into tears, prefers to react in a humorous tone: “I say: ‘I understand, Antho, you are the spicy guy of the couple and Natasha, she is the cutie’. At that moment, Natasha is on my right. She has her head down and she says immediately after this sentence: ‘Listen to me, little slut.’ It happened like that. I tremble to tell you about it. I will never forget,” says Inès Reg.

“I am a victim in this story”

In tears, the comedian adds: “I swear to you that when she told me that, I saw a flash. It went completely white. The only thing I said to myself was ‘Don’t cry’. ‘Don’t show anything’. (…) It hurt me so much. It’s too violent. I don’t believe it when I heard that.” After insulting Inès Reg, Natasha St-Pier allegedly took her by the arm and said to her: “And now you are going out”. This sequence was filmed. “There was no death threat,” insists the 31-year-old comedian.

Stunned by Natasha St-Pier’s insult, Inès Reg isolates herself next to the canteen Dance with the stars. “Natasha comes down to join me. She says to me: ‘Look, I’m sorry, I thought we were playing a skit and that I had the role of the villain'”. “When she comes to apologize, I don’t have any hatred. I’m wide-eyed. I’m just really hurt. I only say ‘ok.’ (to his apologies)”, explains Inès Reg before adding: “It’s serious what has just happened. I am a victim in this story. I do not forgive him. We move on”.

The day after the argument, Inès Reg spoke on the phone with production, also in shock after seeing the video of the argument. BBC Studios France and TF1 then decided to lay off Natasha St-Pier for three days. That day, the singer sent a message of apology to Inès Reg, which the comedian had just revealed on Instagram.

The following days, Inès Reg felt isolated, rejected by the other candidates of Dance with the stars who heard a completely different version of the clash. “Everyone turned their back on me,” assures the comedian. She then decides to reveal her truth: “I’m telling everything! I’m telling everyone that I have no hatred towards Natasha!”.

“I don’t make death threats, I’m nice”

Everything is back to normal, Inès Reg feels better about the adventure and continues to establish herself as one of the best candidates of this season. But everything collapsed last week, when she learned via a journalist from Parisian that Natasha St-Pier filed a handrail against her. She doesn’t believe it, she’s stunned. She goes to see Natasha St-Pier to find out for sure: “I’m ashamed because I’m convinced that there is no handrail (…) And she replies: ‘Yes, it is true, I installed a handrail. I’ll explain to you why.”

The Canadian singer then allegedly explained to him that she was afraid of having her legs “broken” by members of her team, who stayed with her during rehearsals. “She apologized. She thought she was stupid. She held my hand because I was crying. It doesn’t matter. I don’t have any hatred. I just want us to stop and dance”, assures the comedian, determined to turn the page.
