Inter Miami advanced to the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup by beating Nashville SC 3-1. The first game between the teams had ended 2-2. This Wednesday (13) the stars of Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez shone, who scored and provided assists.
HOW WAS THE MATCH?
Pushed by the fans at home, Inter Miami opened the scoring after just eight minutes, through Suárez. The Uruguayan made a rehearsed play with Messi, received a pass from the Argentine in the area, and completed the goal. At 23′, it was the number 10’s turn to score with a strong shot after an assist from Diego Gomez.
Messi was replaced at half-time by Robert Taylor, who scored Inter Miami’s third goal. The Finnish striker received a cross from Suárez and, with his head, closed the scoring for the Florida team. Nashville scored in extra time, with Sam Surridge.
