Instagram and Facebook are reported to be down or collapsed in various parts of the world. Many users reported that their accounts suddenly bounced or logged out of Facebook and could not log in again. Meanwhile, Instagram is also experiencing problems with access.
A number of users also complained on Twitter. On the Downdetector website, which monitors downed sites, hundreds of thousands of reports have been submitted regarding this disruption on Facebook and Instagram.
“Many Facebook accounts have collapsed,” wrote a complaint on Twitter. “Yes, it’s been like this since an hour ago… until now at 23.00, I can’t access Instagram and Facebook,” wrote another user.

Until now, the downtime of Facebook and Instagram is still ongoing and the cause is not yet known. Meta as the parent company has not provided an explanation.
“Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are down worldwide, leaving hundreds of thousands of users unable to access these social media platforms,” wrote the Daily Mail in England.
