“Iran knows this is a dangerous escalation”

The Israeli army put on display a portion of an Iranian ballistic missile that was recovered from the Dead Sea following Iran’s recent attack on Israel. The debris shown is only 70% of the entire missile, as parts of it were destroyed during interception.

Over the weekend, Iran launched a large number of projectiles, including 110 ballistic missiles, towards Israel in a significant escalation of tensions in the region. The attack was repelled with the help of the United States, Great Britain, France, and Jordan. Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that the Iranian salvo carried a total of 60 tons of explosives, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Hagari also emphasized that while Israel showcased its defensive capabilities during the attack, they also possess offensive capabilities and will respond to Iran’s aggression at a time and in a manner of their choosing. He made it clear that such attacks from Iran are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner echoed these sentiments, stating that Iran’s actions are unacceptable and that measures will be taken to ensure that such attacks do not happen again. He emphasized the need to prevent Iran from threatening Israel and the region with ballistic missile attacks.
