According to CCTV News, on October 24, local time, the Israeli government approved an investment plan of 15.5 billion NIS (approximately US$4.8 billion) in response to the global climate crisis. This investment plan mainly includes: encouraging the development of innovative technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the treatment of organic waste, replacing current buses with electric buses, and improving bicycle storage and travel infrastructure. According to this investment plan, by 2030, Israel’s methane emissions will be reduced by 30%. Methane emissions are second only to carbon dioxide and are an important indicator of the impact on climate change.
