Charles III, ruler of the United Kingdom, is diagnosed with cancer. Initially, the palace did everything to minimize the information. When King Charles III entered the hospital on January 17, it was for a treatment described as innocuous: “Like thousands of men each year, the king undergoes treatment for an enlarged prostate. Her Majesty’s condition is benign.” However, he had remained in the hospital for twelve days, a strangely long time.
This Monday, February 5, Buckingham Palace had to reveal the truth about the doctors’ concerns. During his hospitalization, a “form of cancer” was detected. The palace refuses to specify which cancer it is, however excluding prostate cancer. The king, who had gone to his Sandringham Palace, on the east coast of England, returned to London to undergo treatments, which began on Monday. All his public engagements have been suspended until further notice.
