On Tuesday, King Harald says he will not abdicate, as Queen Margrethe did in Denmark.
The king met the press at Faktisk, where he was asked if he has made up his mind after Queen Margrethe abdicated.

– No, I don’t really have it. I stand by what I have said all along, I have taken an oath to the Storting and it lasts for life, he says.
Crown Prince Haakon was also present at Faktisk, which is based in Pressens Hus in Oslo.
The king was also asked what he thinks about Durek Verrett believing that the Norwegian press has something against him.
– He is not right, I think, if he does. But he feels a lot of adversity: “Aaaaah, Norway,” he says. He’s used to the press in America, which is much more ongoing than our press, so I think he’s used to that.

He was also asked questions during the visit to Faktisk.
– We have had a very interesting visit. We visited those who verify photos, and that’s perhaps the scariest thing since it’s the easiest thing for us to believe. “I’ve seen that in the newspaper and in pictures, so it’s true.”
Both the crown prince and the press burst out laughing when King Harald answered questions about whether he has any tips for Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who has begun her first service.
– Don’t ask too much about why, he answered quickly.
– You get a lot of orders that you don’t understand the point of, and then you shouldn’t ask why, just do it. In the long run, you get much further with it in the military, compared to if you are in the opposition.
