In Alex Garland’s gripping political film “Civil War,” Dunst plays a war photographer who goes about her work in an America torn apart by civil war. She meets a brutal soldier, played by her husband Jesse Plemons. Plemons got the small, remarkable role through her, Dunst said in a recent interview. “The actor dropped out and I said, Jesse is here with the kids anyway.”
