Gives himself up as CEO of Schibsted ASA.
In connection with Schibsted today presenting the results for the fourth quarter in 2023, the group announced that CEO Kristin Skogen Lund has decided to resign from her position as soon as a successor has been found.
– Schibsted is a great company and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. I am impressed daily by all the talent and commitment my colleagues show. When Schibsted is now at a crossroads, I think the time is right to step back, says Skogen Lund in a press release.
The board states that it will immediately initiate a process to find her successor.
– Kristin’s leadership has been decisive in shaping today’s Schibsted, says chairman Karl-Christian Agerup.
The quarterly figures Schibsted presented today show that the group ended last year with an operating profit before tax of NOK 684 million. Operating profit increased by 5 percent from the same quarter in 2021.
Schibsted stated at the same time that the company is selling out of Viaplay.
Subject to final agreements and approval from the shareholders, Schibsted’s current news operations and related services will be separated from Schibsted into a separate company to be owned by the Tinius Foundation and managed by Siv Juvik Tveitnes.
After the transaction is completed, Schibsted’s remaining businesses will continue as a listed company on the Oslo Stock Exchange under a different name.
