Angela Merkel’s 16 years at the helm of Germany, four mandates, which saw it as the undisputed protagonist of European and world politics, told in the journalist’s book Paolo Valentino. The event will start from an interview with the reporter, scheduled for June 14th “Let’s talk about Germany” organized by the Italian Institute of Germanic Studies. The one with the correspondent in Berlin for The Corriere della Sera it is only the first of three events, scheduled for June, at the Institute. The cultural event aims to be an opportunity for debate and discussion on the role of Germany in Europe, in particular in its bilateral relations with Italy.
The meetings will be held for three evenings on the terrace of the Institute a Villa Sciarra Wurts, on the Janiculum Hill, in the heart of Rome. On June 14, Valentino will present his latest book on the former chancellor (“The age of Merkel”, Marsilio, 2021) interviewed by Marco Sarto. The second evening will take place on June 20 with an interview with Luca Crescenzi, president of the Italian Institute of Germanic Studies, in Rino Pellinocorrespondent of the Rai from the prestigious Berlin office.
