Lindvik was number twelve after the first round, but immediately started the climb with 133 metres.
– It is delicious. It’s a very, very good impact, commented Viaplay expert Anders Jacobsen.
Lindvik looked set to finish fourth, but World Cup leader Stefan Kraft failed when he was going to jump for the win.
Johann André Forfang was the best placed of the Norwegians after the first round, but the Tromsø væringer did not get full throttle in his second jump.
– It almost happens, but I have to defend him. There were red arrows when he jumped, and then it goes low, said Jacobsen.
The 22-year-old Sindre Ulven Jørgensen delivered a brilliant jump in the first half and took the first point of his career in the World Cup.
– A great start. Have you seen? Brilliant jumping, exclaimed Viaplay commentator Jørgen Klem.
Last weekend, Forfang provided a particularly long-awaited win for the Norwegian national showjumping team when he clinched the ground record in Willingen, Germany. Last year’s supreme World Cup king Halvor Egner Granerud has struggled a lot this season. He decided in January to take a competition break to get his own jumping in order.
Later on Saturday, there will be a super team competition. It starts at 23:00 Norwegian time.
