Love Wins All IU Achieves 7 Perfect All Kill Certifications Since Release

Jakarta – IU is back with her latest single Love Wins All which is the opening for the album which will be released this year. Pop ballad song grande It has now entered the ranks of IU’s popular songs in South Korea. This is from the achievements of Love Wins All on the domestic charts since its release last January 24.

On the Melon Top 100 chart earlier this week, Monday (29/1/2024), IU’s song Love Wins All became queen by sitting at #1. Previously, this song had stiff competition with To. Taeyeon’s X dropped to #3 this week. IU is now coming face to face with one of South Korean music listeners’ favorite tracks, namely Lim Jae Hyun’s Rhapsody of Sadness which is ranked #2.

Not only on Melon, IU also managed to rank #1 on various domestic charts including Genie (daily and realtime charts), YouTube, FLO, VIBE, to Bugs (daily and realtime charts). This achievement earned IU Perfect All Kill certification for the song Love Wins All, as quoted from iChart Instiz.

To date, Love Wins All has received 7 Perfect All Kill certifications. 7 times Perfect All Kill means the song remained at #1 on all domestic music charts for 7 hours (whether consecutively or not).

Perfect All Kill is a certification for popular songs that have managed to rank #1 on daily, realtime and weekly music charts. Not all musicians can get this certification and IU is one of the ranks of musicians who have subscribed to Perfect All Kill (PAK).

Apart from PAK, there are also Realtime All Kill and Certified All Kill certifications. Realtime All Kill is a sign that a song has succeeded in occupying the #1 position on the main charts in real time. Meanwhile, certified All Kill is given to songs that occupy the #1 position on real-time and daily music charts since their release.

It is predicted that Love Wins All will last a long time on the domestic music charts. Remembering this, IU and the soloist have not released a new song for a long time since their solo comeback with the mini album (EP) Pieces in 2021.

Several other IU songs that have successfully received PAK certification include Lilac (223 hours PAK) which was released in 2021. From the same album but released first as a single, Celebrity also received PAK certification. Celebrity successfully maintained the #1 position for 462 hours in the same year.

IU is also the soloist who received the most PAK certifications in the history of South Korean music charts. Throughout her career, IU has had 22 PAKs, apart from those mentioned above, including Nagging (2010), Good Day (2010), The Story Only I Didn’t Know (2011), You & I (2012), The Red Shoes ( 2013), Friday (2013), My Old Story (2014), Leon (2015), Twenty-Three (2015), Through the Night (2016), Can’t Love You Anymore (2016), Palette (2016), Autumn Morning (2017), Bbibbi (2018), Love Poem (2019), Blueming (2019), Give You My Heart (2020), Eight (2020), and Strawberry Moon (2021).
