Football players from Velež and Borca played a match without a winner in the 25th round of the BiH Premier League. After the young David vuković brought Banja Luka into the lead in the third minute with his new mastery, Gulijašvili scored a goal worth a draw and an important point for Velež in the fight for Europe in the 64th minute of the match.
The coach of Velež, Dean Klafurić, spoke to Arena Sport after the referee’s final whistle, and in the commentary of this match, he said that he was not satisfied with the game, but he praised his players for their effort and dedication.
“I’m not satisfied with the game, we can do better. In the first half, we were not in our style of play, we went out of bounds. Borca’s early lead set the game in motion. Today the best part was the environment, the field, the playing conditions and everything was fantastic. Thanks to our fans for their support. Last game was the opposite. The content of that game was much better than tonight, even though there were no goals. Tonight, the crowd won, that is, our fans and the fantastic field. I congratulate the Borca team and its players for their effort and commitment because they saved the game from defeat and if you can’t win already, it’s important not to lose. It is certain that the absence of important players on both sides caused the lack of creation in the game,” said Klafurić.
Like Klafurić, Borca coach Vinko Marinović is satisfied with the efforts of his players.
“Maybe we didn’t win the game today, but I have to congratulate my players for their game and effort. We had a lot of good opportunities to get that second goal that we didn’t take. I think the game was fantastic and in the end we didn’t control that one situation and Velež equalized. I can only praise the players, and if we had used our chances, the result would have been different,” said Marinović.
In the next round of the BIH Premier League, we will watch the Mostar derby between Zrinjsko and Velež, while Borac will welcome Sloga.
