Matias Lesor is again the topic after the match between Panathinaikos and Red Star in Belgrade.

Matthias Lesor he was the best basketball player of Panathinaikos in the victory over Red Star in Belgrade (89:76), and after the match he continued his “silent war” with the fans of the club he once played for. Lesor and the fans of Zvezda “are not in love” since he became a member of their biggest rival Partizan, so they greeted him with whistles at the beginning, there was also a “crowd” at the end of the game, and at the end Lesor spiced it up with a statement in which he “burnt”.
That is why the journalist of “Sport Klub” said after the match that his was not appropriate for someone who spent a lot of time in Serbia, adding that his gesticulation towards the fans “ill-mannered”. Former Red Star basketball player Milutin Aleksić disagreed with such an assessment.
“You sound too strict for my taste. I like players who are temperamental, they want to relieve the team and relax themselves, it could be more restrained, but he lives on that energy and likes to provoke the audience and chant negatively. I would not want to diminish his the quality and tremendous contribution he brings to Panathinaikos”said Aleksić about the basketball player who scored 19 points in the victory of the “greens” tonight, once again confirming that he is among the best players in the Euroleague.
Lesor (28) played for Crvena Zvezda in the 2017/18 season and is remembered as the tragic figure in the final playoff series against Budućnost in the ABA League. Then he was in Málaga, Bayern, Monaco, Maccabi, to spend almost two seasons in Partizan from 2021 to 2023. With the black and whites, he won the ABA league and after being included in the top five of the Euroleague, he went to Panathinaikos.
