Wang Wenbin said, I have noticed some American media comments that gun violence is an “epidemic” in American society, which makes the American people feel desperate. With 4.2% of the world‘s population, the United States owns 46% of the world‘s civilian firearms, with a total of 393 million. In 2020, there were 45,222 gun-related deaths in the United States, a 43 percent increase from 2010. According to data from the US “Gun Violence Archives” website, as of April 22 this year, 13,115 people have been killed in gun violence in the US this year. Wang Wenbin pointed out that the US media commented that the US government has done nothing to implement its promise to limit guns. Large donations and aggressive policy manipulation by lobbying politicians have prevented multiple U.S. administrations from fulfilling their promises to limit guns, and many gun control bills have come to an end.
Wang Wenbin emphasized that life is the greatest human right.
