The Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, announced on Monday night the arrest of journalist Carlos Julio Rojas. Saab stated that Rojas was arrested for his involvement in an assassination attempt against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The attempt took place on March 25, the day Maduro registered as a candidate for the presidency. The Public Ministry will provide updates on the investigation on Tuesday at noon.
