Nantes Vs PSG: Les Parisiens Menang 2-0

Nantes

Paris Saint Germain increasingly distanced themselves at the top of the standings Ligue 1. This is after Les Parisiens won 2-0 at home Nantes.

In the match held at the Stade de la Beajouire – Louis Fonteneau, Sunday (18/2/2024) early morning WIB, PSG appeared dominant with 72 percent ball possession.

However, they had difficulty dismantling Nantes’ defense even though they made 12 attempts. No one has aimed at the target since the start of the match.

Nantes was actually more dangerous because they released seven attempts on target out of a total of 12. If it weren’t for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s toughness between the sticks, PSG would have conceded from the start.

The deadlock was also broken in the 60th minute when Lucas Hernandez got his name on the scoreboard. Hernandez fired a shot from a distance and the ball hit the tip of his opponent’s shoe before diving into the goal.

PSG back up Kylian Mbappe in this match, shortly after the announcement he would be leaving at the end of the season. Mbappe was played to replace Marcos Asensio in the 62nd minute and immediately entered the scoreboard 15 minutes later.

PSG received a penalty after Mbappe was fouled by Douglas Augusto and he himself took the 12th right to make the score 2-0.

This score lasted until the match was over and PSG now has 53 points from 22 matches at the top Ligue 1 standings, 14 points ahead of Nice in second place. Nantes is in 13th position with 22 points.
