Teams are continuing to hurry to resolve the failure of the gaseous nitrogen supplier needed for canning preparations. Nitrogen is used for preparation and during canning operations to provide a flame retardant environment inside the SLS.
When the problem is solved, the countdown time will restart. As of the time of writing, there are still T-6 hours and 40 minutes (L-7 hours and 20 minutes) left in the countdown time, and the on-site cooling of the core-level liquid oxygen pipeline will begin.
Once the propellant loading operation begins, liquid oxygen (LOX) and liquid hydrogen (LH2) will flow into the rocket’s core stage and temporary cryogenic propellant stage tanks and will be topped up and topped up as some of the cryogenic propellant boils. The team will also conduct leak checks to ensure propellant loading is proceeding as expected.
