Indonesian National team rose four places in the latest FIFA rankings, as of February 2024 it now sits in 142nd position. Chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir Still dreaming of the Garuda Squad breaking into the top 100!
Indonesian National team performed quite well in the 2023 Asian Cup, reaching the round of 16. This result made the Garuda Squad move up four points in the rankings ranking FIFA as of February because he got an additional 8.65 points, from position 146 to position 142.
Chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir grateful for these results. According to him, the Indonesian National Team is on track!

“Thank God, position 142 in FIFA is not only the highest in the last five years, but also this year,” he said on the official PSSI website.
“This is a process that proves that the program we are carrying out at PSSI, especially in preparing a competitive and quality national team, is on track,” continued Erick.
Erick Thohir asked the Indonesian National Team not to be complacent. Erick targets that the Garuda Squad can break into the top 100 in the world!
“My target remains as soon as possible to reach 100 in the world,” he stressed.
Indonesian National team They must immediately focus on the 2026 World Cup Qualifications. They will play again in March, facing Vietnam and must be able to qualify from Group F. Previously, Shin Tae-yong’s troops were beaten 1-5 by Iraq and drew 1-1 against the Philippines.
